The next Sapphire Angel story, launching on April 20, will be Sapphire Angel -- Savage Dawn. This will be the first book in a two story arc. Prior to launch, I will publish four character previews, one per update leading up to the April 20 launch. Here is the synopsis for the story, along with a little banner.
The Savage Gang, led by its menacing and sadistic leader, Maximus Savage, has been terrorizing cities across the United States, stretching the FBI and law enforcement to the breaking point. In each city, the gang spreads its ruthless brand of violence, and takes over any criminal enterprise it desires, including theft, gambling, extortion, drugs, and more. The trouble from the gang, and its almost superhumanly strong members, has gotten bad enough for the government to consider calling up the National Guard, and invoking exceptions under federal law prohibiting military action on American soil.
Beth Harper works as a writer for an online magazine, but also leads a secret life as the famous superheroine, Sapphire Angel. After sixteen chaotic months where Sapphire Angel helped avert a nuclear disaster, uncovered a terrorist plot, and made her city a safer place, Beth wonders if it is time to slow down and focus on herself. Those thoughts go out the window, though, when the Savage Gang takes aim at her city. The gang has never faced someone like Sapphire Angel, but she's never confronted a group as deadly as the Savage Gang, and it will take all her skill and determination to save her adopted city, and herself.
Warning: The next two stories (the second one in particular) are the most violent ones I’ve written. The Savage Gang acts with extreme brutality, without regard to age or gender (or any other attribute) of its victims. These would be the stories to skip for some people.
Woooo! Can’t wait! I’m no stranger to excessive amounts of violence (I DID write Chapter 13 of “Nightclaw”, after all), so I believe I’ll be able to get through this novel and the next one just fine. I just have to remember not to be eating food whenever I go to read a chapter, haha!
Take all the time you need to put your finishing touches on everything and get it together; I’ll be eagerly waiting for the chapters to drop! And I’ll also take a look at the character bios whenever they’re released as well; it’s something I never really thought to do, honestly. But I think it’s a good way for the readers to get to know the characters, their motivations, and their backstories before the novel officially starts.
Also, the first thing that came to mind when I first read the gang’s name was the song “Savage” by Megan Thee Stallion. Not joking on that. 🤣
The synopsis makes it sound like they’re a force to be reckoned with, but after the last three novels.....I’m not sure how much I believe that. Sapphire has been through a lot.
At any rate, let’s ROLL on these guys!
